Aisha Northington is the Founder and Executive Director of Mission Minded Recovery Inc. For over the last 10 years, she has worked around the state of Georgia in the peer workforce movement. During many years of working in the field of mental health and addictive disease, she was able to see that there were still improvements and enhancements that the communities could benefit from. Aisha Northington is a certified CPS-MH, CPS-AD, CPS-P, and a Forensic Peer Mentor.

Aisha Northington knew and recognized that all people recover in their communities surrounded by friends, and family reinforced by inclusion and safety.

Our Founder is a woman in long-term recovery and she currently serves as a Board Member through the JEAP initiative, a project of the Oregon Social Learning Center. Aisha knows firsthand that her lived experience offers an opportunity to hold hope for others as they learn to hold it for themselves! In August of 2023, our Founder created an Early Intervention Program for Young Adults that includes but is not limited to Financial Literacy Skills, Whole Health, Self Advocacy Skills, Self Discovery and More!

Aisha realized that she had to be the change that she wanted to see and that is why MMR is here to serve Dekalb County!
